Ribera 6 Hair Salon

While visiting Barcelona, I was on a mission to get a great haircut — not an easy task when you’re wandering a city with more salons than tapas bars. After a few misses, I finally stumbled upon Ribera in El Born, and it was worth every wrong turn. Pedro not only made time for me on short notice, he gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years. We ended up having an incredible conversation about life, Spain, and art. My Spanish is… let’s just say "a work in progress," but Pedro was patient, kind, and made me feel completely at ease. In a city overflowing with style, Ribera stands out — not just for its skill, but for its warm atmosphere and cozy, art-filled space. If you want more than just a haircut, if you want an experience, this is the place.

Really really disappointed with the haircut. I called ahead and asked if a dry cut was possible - was told yes. Got there and was advised No, only dry cuts done on afro hair. So he had to rinse my hair with water in the sink. I asked for longer at the front, short at the back, with layers and scaled at the front to frame my face. He spent FORTY minutes cutting my hair (my hair is short, not even to my shoulders). Afterwards i told him I do not want it blowdried, just some product to help with the curls. He insisted on putting my head under some contraption to "dry naturally". So had to stay another 10mins. After all that, i was charged the full 65EUR even though i did not get a proper shampoo or blowdry treatment. Finally, the cut is nothing like what i asked for. It´s the same level all the way around, like a bowl cut and No layers. Really quite disgusted with the price i was charged and the complete failure to cut my hair how I wanted.

I’ve been visiting here for last 5 years !! They know what they are doing. Perfect in every way ! And very centrally located. Book in advance if you want them to give you a refreshing new look.

(Increíble ) Tuve una experiencia muy grata gracias a Dian. Venía de otro salón donde tuve una mala experiencia y él , amablemente, me hizo un hueco de última hora para ayudarme, (ya que tenía un evento profesional muy importante al día siguiente) Me dejó el cabello precioso: rubio, saludable y elegante! Sin duda, volveré! Muchas gracias Dían !

I moved from California in June and was in desperate need of blonde highlights and a cut after 5 months. I live in the neighborhood and passed by this salon often so did a little research and found their stylist- Dian. He did an incredible job with my color, cut, and spirit. I've gone to the same stylist in SF for over 10 years so was nervous but LOVE my hair so much. I highly recommend this salon and Dian's skills!! To top it off, he was super easy and interesting to talk with and speaks perfect English. Thanks Dian!! I'll see you again soon.

Venía de un lugar donde tuve una mala experiencia, y al llegar a este salón, Dian, con mucha amabilidad, me hizo un espacio para trabajar en mi cabello de último minuto, después de explicarle que tenía un evento muy importante al día siguiente. El resultado fue fabuloso: un rubio sano, elegante y perfecto!

Adoro questo luogo! Caldo, accogliente e ordinato. La crew è deliziosa, simpatici e super professionali tutti. I prodotti ovviamente di altissima qualità. Per non parlare dell’ ubicazione che è tremendamente caratteristica. Coccole garantite!!! Tante amiche mie passano di qui!!! Tutto questo rende Ribera 6 Hair Salón un luogo molto speciale che raccomando con il cuore
