Bodas del Sur - Wedding Planner Sevilla

One month ago, Bodas del Sur helped us realize one of the most beautiful, magical weekends of our lives. After getting engaged in April 2023, my husband and I knew we wanted a destination celebration for our traditional multi-event Indian wedding. Our goal was to throw an unforgettable party in a beautiful setting, and our only stipulation was that we could not be the first Indian wedding client of any potential wedding planner. We loved the beautiful Moorish architecture of southern Spain, but had no contacts for Spanish wedding planners. On a whim, we Googled "Indian wedding Andalusia", found the Bodas del Sur website, and reached out. After a few introductory emails, the initial zoom call felt right. Javi (the owner of the company) and Ana, our main wedding planner, seemed to genuinely want to get to know us, so they could understand how to make our dream wedding possible in Sevilla. Having planned many Indian weddings before, Ana was also quick to highlight options for Indian food, mehndi artists, and potential venues for events like a haldi, sangeet, baraat, and the actual wedding ceremony with mandap.After a couple months of preliminary discussions, Javi and Ana helped us shape our vision of this dream wedding in Sevilla. 5 wedding events, each at a different location to highlight the charm and beauty of the city. We then flew there to see the potential venues and meet the team in person. From that first meeting in person, we knew our initial hunch from the zoom call was correct. Javi and Ana had a warm and welcoming energy, backed up by a wealth of experience. The company actually has 2 arms: Cenarte, which plans corporate events, and Bodas del Sur, the wedding planning service. Both branches cater to international clients, and are busy planning many events throughout the year. Add to that the beautiful venues of Sevilla, and we knew that Bodas del Sur was the right wedding planning team for us.Once we had committed, we spent the next 1.5 years ironing out the details. Planning a 3 day, 5-event Indian wedding for 200+ guests seemed daunting at the outset. But the Bodal del Sur team made it as smooth and painless as possible. Since they only work with couples planning destination weddings, the team is fluent in English (among other languages), and used to communicating with clients across time zones who don’t have direct access to vendors. In fact, the team served as the primary contact point for all of the local vendors. Although my husband and I speak Spanish, it was great having them follow-up with vendors directly to ensure nothing was lost in translation. It also filtered out a lot of the unnecessary back and forth conversation, so we were usually presented with the condensed information and could finalize decisions relatively quickly.Of course, with so many decisions to make, this still meant a lot of communication. Through countless email threads, Whatsapp chats, and zoom calls across time zones, every member of the team carried that same interest from the first meeting in getting to know us as a couple and ensuring every detail of the wedding would match our vibe. While prioritizing our happiness with any proposed plans, the team also offered constructive feedback to keep us in check, when necessary. Minor hiccups were to be expected given the logistical behemoth of planning such a large wedding. But the team was usually timely in their responses and worked to find solutions if we had to pivot from an original idea due to budget or logistical constraints.In the end, it was more than worth it. 1 month later, and our guests keep telling us it was one of the best weddings ever. It would not have been possible without the Bodas del Sur team. We cannot thank them enough for all of their time and incredibly hard work. The memories and relationships that we established will be cherished forever. Javi, Ana (!!!), Esther, Maria, Natalia, and all who were involved are the BEST! If you have not yet had the pleasure to work with the team, you should absolutely meet with them, and you will agree.

We found the team through an online search and from the first call with Ana we got such a good feeling.From the get go there was a strong sense of trust and we selected our venues remotely without physically seeing them!We thoroughly enjoyed our visits which made the wedding planning process so much fun.From seeing the venues for the first time, to the food tastings and visits to the florist, the whole process made the final result so special.Despite our busy schedules, Ana made sure that we were relaxed and well prepared for the big weekend.The weekend ran so smoothly, with everything being more special than we could imagine.The 2 days went by without any glitches and we will remember them as the best time of our life. Planning a destination wedding in Seville could have been stressful, but she made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Ana and the team at Bodas del Sur were instrumental to us having the perfect day! They were extremely responsive and thought of lots of details I would have missed. It made it so much easier to have someone there on the ground we trusted while trying to organise a wedding from abroad.They also made sure the day itself ran so smoothly and I felt I didn’t need to worry about anything except enjoying my day as well as helping us source a venue and run the second day of our wedding which was a bit trickier than we thought but the team were great at getting it over the line and coming up with lots of suggestions! We can't give more than 5*s but would if we could...We spent around 2 years and 3 separate trips to Seville with the Bodas Del Sur team, particularly Miriam and Ana, planning our wedding which took place over 3 days in Seville this May.It's fair to say we were pretty unorganised and slow to respond to emails etc but Miriam and Ana were super positive, patient and amazing to work with the whole time (even putting up with our pitiful Spanish attempts)They definitely went above and beyond coming up with ideas and suggestions and have amazing relationships with the best suppliers in Seville which led to a truly magical three days for us and our guests who were blown away with the quality of the food, venues and ambience for all of the days...Unfortunately due to weather we had to completely re-plan the wedding day the week/even morning of the wedding. We honestly couldn't have pulled that off without the team who pulled in extra hands and worked tirelessly to ensure none of the guests knew anything was meant to be any other way...They really tried to stay extra positive and supportive despite the stressful conditions and we all agreed the end result was better than that we had first planned!!Not only were Miriam, Ana and Javi amazing to work with they are all the sweetest, loveliest people who are fun to be around. They are 100% invested in the weddings they plan and really go above and beyond to make sure their clients have weddings that go beyond their wildest expectations. We know that we now have friends in Seville for life and we honestly have no regrets about choosing Bodas Del Sur to be our planners!We love you all, thank you! Sophie and Andrew

We want to say that our perfect wedding would not have been possible with any regular wedding planner. The amount of special requests and unusual setting (for a wedding) would probably be too far out of the ordinary for most organisers. But instead of dismissing our ideas, they lit up with enthusiasm. We could really feel their passion and it made us feel more confident to proceed with how we wanted our wedding to look like, not how a wedding is "supposed" to look like.It was a bespoke event and tailored specifically for us and our guests.Our wedding events took us on a journey through the heart of Seville, its famous bars, public spaces, streets and the park, metres away from Plaza de España. They connected us with local artisans, whose work we shared with honour.Our guests (who came from all over the world) were able to take part in a real cultural experience that very few tourists get to enjoy.It was an honest pleasure to work with Miriam and Perrine, they were always responsive and accommodating. We understood each other effortlessly. They fearlessly negotiated on our behalf with all the vendors, and we are confident that they saved us far more money than their wedding planner services cost.They are responsible for our brightest memories and we will forever be thankful to them for it.

We love the team at Bodas del Sur. We found them in 2019 and met Laura for our first venue visit in July. They immediately knew what our style was and we found the venue on our first visit. Every time we met them, we always had so much fun and the whole process was easy. Our wedding was postponed twice due to covid, and both times, Laura was incredible and renegotiating everything with ease. When it came closer to our day, Laura, Maria and Ana were all fantastic, working with us to always find the best options. We had the most incredible day and all our guests said it was the most amazing wedding they'd ever been to. They also chose all the best suppliers, from catering, to photography, video, flowers and music, we felt like the team was so dedicated to making our day special.
