La Alacena de Andreu Genestra

We got married at Hotel Rural S'Olivaret on the 20th September. We were lucky enough to have Angie as our coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic. From the tasting, all the way through to the wedding day. She was so fun and so helpful. The food was sensational. I HIGHLY recommend doing the long appetisers option if you have it. Our guests said it was the best appetisers they've ever had in their lives. Wish we could do it all over again!

We had a wonderful experience with La Alacena for our wedding day of 87 guests. Maria was so easy to work with, she had great communication with us while planning overseas, and was able to bringour vision to life. She helped accommodate our special requests for an espresso martini tower and churro tower for dessert. The presentation of all the hors d'oeuvres and food stations were beautiful and also tasted delicious. We were able to do our tasting menu the week of our wedding which was so helpful. Our guests absolutely loved the cocktail hour. Thanks Maria & Alacena for making our wedding memorable!

Every dish was beautifully presented like in the tasting and our guests enjoyed the food a lot. The service was flawless—attentive, professional, and perfectly in sync with the flow of the evening. What stood out was how effortlessly Maria and the Alacena team handled last-minute changes. Tuvimos la suerte de contar con Alacena Catering para nuestra boda el 13 de septiembre en Es Solivaret (Alaró), y no podemos estar más agradecidos. Desde el primer contacto hasta el final de la celebración, todo fue impecable.La comida fue simplemente espectacular: deliciosa, cuidada al detalle y con una presentación preciosa. Nuestros invitados quedaron encantados y todavía nos hablan de lo bien que comieron. El servicio fue igual de sobresaliente: atento, profesional y cercano, logrando que todo fluyera con naturalidad.Además de encargarse del catering, su equipo nos ayudó con la logística y la coordinación de la boda. Álvaro y todo el equipo estuvieron siempre a nuestro lado, resolviendo cada detalle y transmitiéndonos tranquilidad en todo momento. Gracias a ellos, pudimos disfrutar de nuestro gran día sin preocupaciones.Alacena Catering no solo fue un proveedor, sino una parte esencial de nuestra boda de ensueño. Los recomendaríamos una y mil veces. Gracias a Lorena y a Angie.

Unfortunately, the food served at our wedding did not resemble what we were given during the tasting.I left the tasting very excited, with high expectations. The iberico pork shoulder (main dish) was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I actually left the menu tasting and went home and bragged to everyone about how good the pork shoulder was going to be.What came out on wedding day was completely different. To me, what we were served on the day really appeared to have been cut in flat strips along the grain, then fried in a ton of butter and also overcooked (see my photo from the tasting and from wedding day). I was immediately pretty embarrassed. One of my guests even commented to me about what a strange cut of meat it was. Compare this to ordering and expecting a filet-mignon experience, and then everyone is served a deep fried skirt steak.There were other things that were different between the tasting and the wedding day. At the tasting, we were served skewered cubes of tender meat for the Caliu, but on the actual day, only flattened satay skewers were provided.I’m sharing a photo which I took of the iberic pork shoulder we were given during the menu tasting (left), versus the strange slices of meat we were given on our wedding day (right, taken by my photographer). Also photos of the pork from the wedding day make the portions look more generous than they were. Each guest at my (wedding party) table received only two strips of meat, and they were sliced even thinner than shown here.Maria was fantastic during the planning process and genuinely tried to assist in any way possible, but the pork disappointment was kind of embarrassing for me. The caterer's inability to deliver what was promised has broken my trust, and I would not recommend them to other brides for this reason.In the future, it would be nice if they serve brides in the menu tasting, what they actually plan on making for the wedding.

Nos casamos el pasado mes de abril y aún hoy nuestros amigos y familiares nos felicitan por el catering. También queremos dar las gracias en especial a Maria por el trabajo y la dedicación desde el minuto cero para que todo saliese a la perfección. Sin lugar a dudas repetiríamos con vosotros con los ojos cerrados.

Contratamos el servicio de catering de La Alacena para nuestra boda, y no podríamos estar más contentos con nuestra elección. La calidad de la comida fue espectacular, con sabores auténticos y una presentación impecable. Desde el primer contacto, el equipo fue muy profesional y atento, especialmente Mireia, ayudándonos a personalizar el menú para adaptarlo a nuestras necesidades.El día de la boda, todo llegó perfecto y la atención fue excepcional. Nuestros invitados no pararon de elogiar la comida. Sin duda, volveremos a contar con ellos en el futuro. Muy recomendable!
